This article describes the information and functionality of the Social Engineering Alerts screen. For more information about how Ark Light protects against Social Engineering threats see this article. The Social Engineering Alerts screen displays two lists:

  • Unresolved alerts - threats detected by Ark Light that are waiting to be reviewed and resolved.

  • Resolved alerts - threats that have been reviewed and resolved so that no further action is required.

Each column in the tables is sortable by selecting the column header. This allows users to view the alerts according to date, priority, etc.

Unresolved Alerts

This table displays alerts that have not been resolved and require action. Select a row to view the details of the alert. The table displays several pieces of information:

  • Name - a short, descriptive name of the type of Social Engineering threat identified.

  • Priority - High, Medium, or Low depending on the severity of the threat found. This is a sortable field, allowing users to focus on higher priority alerts first.

  • Type - the type of threat within the Social Engineering category, for example 'Spear Phishing'.

  • Detected - the date that the threat was detected.

  • Resolve by - the recommended date for resolving this alert, based on when it was detected and its priority. If the alert is not resolved by this date it will show as Past Due in order to highlight alerts that have not been reviewed and resolved within a reasonable amount of time.

Resolved Alerts

This table displays alerts that have been resolved by a user and so require no further action. However, being able to review previous issues, comments left by the reviewer, and other information may be useful. Select any alert in the list to see the details. The table displays several pieces of information:

  • Name - a short, descriptive name of the type of Social Engineering threat identified.

  • Type - the type of threat within the Social Engineering category, for example 'Spear Phishing'.

  • Resolved - the date that the alert was resolved.

  • Action required by - the recommended for resolving this alert.
