Resolving Spear Phishing Alerts
Spear Phishing email are targeted messages sent to trick the recipient into doing something that the attacker wants. This is often the first way that an attacker gets into an organization and it then a way to gain additional access or actions, such as downloading malicious software or sending a wire to the attacker's bank account.
Ark Light detects Spear Phishing emails and puts them into Quarantine so that they do not reach the recipient and no harm can be done. You can review each message safely by either following the link in the notification email from Ark Light or by logging in and navigating from the home screen. Here's a short video of the whole process:
Remember to complete the review by selecting one of the options:
Not Safe - the email is Spear Phishing, select this option to delete the email, it will never be delivered.
Safe - the email is not Spear Phishing and is not a threat, select this option to deliver it to the intended recipient(s).
